Commissions
Allow me turn an image of your favorite natural place, or a loved one, into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, piece of art to live in your home and stir your heart every time you look at it.
I try to balance my art practice between commissions and works I am personally inspired to create. I am always happy to discuss a possible commission. Prices will be negotiated up front with a 40% deposit required. Payment plans are also available.
Please reach out if I can create something for you or as a gift for someone you love.
What clients are saying…
Persistence
Acrylic, cotton, mulberry paper, and archival tissue paper
60 x 30 in.
“John has the ability to visualize a concept and bring it into vibrant existence! We gave him 3 words from which to work; Water, Strength and Timelessness.
When he created “Persistence” for us for Twelve Mile Rock on the North Shore of Lake Superior, it surprised and delighted us. This is an imaginative, three-dimensional piece that exceeded our expectations and is perfectly attuned to its surroundings on the Big Lake.”
- Mary and Steve Steele
The Forest
Acrylic, archival tissue paper, mulberry paper, and WWII parachute silk collage
38 x 50 in.
“This was our fourth piece we purchased from John, and it was our second commissioned work. When we took our first glance at the finished work, my wife and I were both in tears. It took our breath away.
John had so clearly put his entire soul into this piece. It will be handed down for generations and generations.”
-Stuart Stofferahn and Heather Castle
